Delete your MarkerView account

You can delete your MarkerView account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

How to delete your account

Sign in at markerview.com (or in the MarkerView app).
Open Settings from your account menu.
Choose Delete account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address you used at purchase and we will process the deletion for you.

What is deleted

Your genetic data files, lab results, medications and health information, generated reports, and your account profile are deleted from our active systems. You will receive a confirmation email when it completes.

What is kept, and why

A record of your order — date, amount, and the fact of deletion — for financial and legal record-keeping.
Payment records held by the payment processor (Stripe for purchases on markerview.com; Google Play for purchases made in the Android app) under their own retention obligations.
Reports we previously emailed you remain in your own mailbox, and in our sending mailbox, unless separately deleted. An emailed report cannot be recalled.
System logs that may contain your email address, for up to 30 days; security audit logs for 400 days, which we cannot selectively edit.

Timing

Active systems	Immediate.
Object storage	Deleted objects are recoverable by the storage provider for 7 days, then gone.
Database backups	Rolling 14-day encrypted backup cycle (7-day point-in-time recovery); your data ages out automatically and is not accessible in the meantime.

Purchases and refunds

Deleting your account does not cancel or refund a purchase. Purchases made through Google Play are managed and refunded through Google Play; purchases made on markerview.com are handled by [email protected].
